        To Members of the U.S.S. Boxer Veterans Association,
        It is with great sadness, that I am informing you that Lane Wletschak passed away on
        Aug 13th at 5:42 pm at age 69.

        Lane is survived by his wife Gayle, sons Scott (wife Tara) and Tim.
        5 grandchildren: Alyssia, Grace, Natalie, Hayden, and Nolan.

        Memorial will be held on Friday, August 19th at

        Wisconsin Memorial Park: Family Center
        13235 W. Capitol Dr
        Brookfield, WI 53005

        Visitation: 10:00am to 12:00pm (possible service to follow)

The association has established a go fund me page with the goal of refunding the treasury
to a point where we can increase the number of scholarships, newsletters,
and have some breathing room with operating expenses.

Welcome to the Home Page of the USS Boxer Veterans   Association. The USS Boxer Veterans Association was formed in 1986.  The association is open to the crew, squadron personnel, attached Marine Corps personnel and other military personnel having served aboard the USS Boxer CV/CVA/CVS-21/LPH-4/LHD-4. 

The purpose of the association is to reunite shipmates who served aboard these ships and to perpetuate the association through annual reunions.  The association will endeavor to celebrate the ships and those who served aboard them.
